Professor Boris Kapustin received his Ph.D. from the Moscow State University in 1979. Thereafter, he has been teaching political philosophy in different universities in Russia and abroad, including Yale University, Sabanchi University in Istanbul, UCLA, Central European University in Budapest. His books include Citizenship and Civil Society (2011), Critique of Political Philosophy: Selected Essays (2010), Moral Choices in Politics (2004), Ideology and Politics in Post-communist Russia (2000), Modernity as a Subject of Political Theory (1998). His numerous articles, besides Russia, appeared in USA, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, etc. He is currently at work on a book on a theory of revolution, its meaning in and applicability to the contemporary world, and on the ongoing theoretical-ideological debates focused on this concept.
